Description
A Ride That Never Ends brings a unique and impactful perspective to life for a sibling of a child with a disability. The story follows the many complicated and challenging feelings that a young Tiger experiences as she shares a childhood with her brother, Tim the Tiger, who is in a wheelchair. The sibling point of view is one that can go unnoticed in a family in which one child has a disability. A Ride That Never Ends was written to give a voice to siblings and help children growing up in similar circumstances know they are not alone. The theme of acceptance and celebrating families of all kinds is highlighted in this heartfelt story.

I loved the perspective of the main character of this book. It offers real-world situations in a way that younger readers can relate. My 5 year was able to find her favorite page and say, “Sometimes I feel like that too.” If nothing else this book is honest and will open up conversations about emotions and family and how we can deal with them both. It’s a great read!

This is a heart warming story that gives voice to the honest and real emotions that kids may feel, and that may at times go
unrecognized. There’s truth and

Siblings are often left out of the medical journey of their brother or sister, and this book brings to light just how much their feelings and experiences matter too. This book has been a wonderful conversation starter for my own kids and know that it will help other families as well. This book was written with love and you can feel that from each page you read.

I love having a book in my daughter’s collection that illustrates the challenges different families face. It navigates complicated emotions in a way children can understand and absorb, and most importantly, instills empathy. She also loves the bright colors and expressive characters. Its definitely one she reaches for again and again and we love reading it together.

This book is an excellent resource for engaging with differing emotions, empathy, and understanding families experiencing health differences. Its colorful illustrations and sweet tiger characters hold the attention of young readers, while the message leaves adults and kids with an opportunity for continued conversation. This is an awesome book that I wish had been available to me when I was a young mom. It is a valuable resource that should be on every bookshelf in every home with children… especially if a child with a disability is a member of that
family. The theme teaches how to deal with confusing feelings, and why sharing those feelings is very important and healthy. The book is honest and heartfelt and touches the emotions of both the reader and the listener. It is definitely a five star read!!
